The Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) is seeking a talented international communications coordinator

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Help write and design English language content such as social media posts, graphics, and videos; press releases and pitches; op-eds; and website content.
  • Support the planning and production of policy conferences, disseminating Hebrew remarks from top experts and policymakers to the English-speaking public.
  • Help develop new creative strategies for IDI's digital assets/channels in English including: website, social media platforms, etc.
  • Design and post content for digital assets such as infographics, video and social media posts.
  • Update and maintain IDI's English website, deploying SEO and analytic tools to improve user engagement.
  • Assist with management and updating of databases.
  • Support the launch and management of a new English language podcast featuring policymakers, academics and experts in the field. 

Requirements:

  • Impeccable English communications and writing skills
  • Conversational Hebrew and the ability to support Hebrew to English translations
  • Familiarity with the following tools and technologies (or their equivalents) to create content and disseminate it:
    • Mailchimp
    • Adobe - Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects
    • Google and social media Analytics
    • CMS website management platform (e.g. WordPress)
    • CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Fluency and ability to adapt to new forms of media
  • Experience (professional, volunteer, or military) in roles involving PR, public policy, social media, or related fields.
  • Awareness of key social and political issues in Israel
  • Knowledge about North American Jewish community and pro-Israel organizations
  • Hard working team player willing to work irregular hours when needed 
This is a 70-100% position based in Jerusalem combined with hybrid opportunities throughout the week.
