Ometz
Ometz – for Economic Recovery
Ometz (full name: Ometz – for Economic Recovery) was founded by MK and Former Treasury Minister Yigal Horowitz in the run-up to the 1984 elections. Ometz championed a policy of cutting back on public expenditures and held hawkish positions on issues on state security. The list won only one seat and functioned as Yigal Horowitz's one-person party. The list was dissolved prior to the next elections and its two main members – Horowitz and Zalman Shoval – were integrated into Likud.
