A Fractured Alliance: The Mutual Commitment between Israel and the Diaspora
Over the past two years, the Israel Democracy Institute has held a workshop on the Jewish nation-state with senior researchers and public figures examining the theoretical and practical aspects of a Jewish nation-state in the twenty-first century. During this time, the workshop dealt with, among other things, the fundamental questions raised by a Jewish nation-state, such as the relationship between the state and the Arab minority and the state and religion.
This conference will summarize the workshop’s findings, specifically focused on a central current issue: the relationship between the Jewish nation-state and Diaspora Jewry.
