Moked
Moked ("Focus") is the name given to the joint list of Maki (HaMiflaga HaKomunistit HaYisraelit— the Israeli Communist Party) and the Blue-Red Movement (T'khelet-Adom), which emerged in 1973 prior to the elections for the Eighth Knesset. Located on the far left of the political map, Moked presented radical positions for its day, such as complete withdrawal from the territories and the establishment of a Palestinian state. On social-economic issues, it championed restricting personal capital and closing social gaps. The list won one seat in the elections. During the Eighth Knesset, many of the Maki members left Moked. Those who remained were among the founders of Sheli (the Left Camp), a list that ran in the elections for the Ninth Knesset.
