Fighters List
(Reshimat HaLohamim)
The Fighters List (Reshimat HaLohamim) was established by veterans of the Lehi underground movement (Lohamei Herut Israel—The Fighters for the Freedom of Israel) toward the first elections for the Knesset. The party’s platform emphasized loyalty to Greater Israel. Natan Yellin-Mor headed the list and entered the Knesset as the only MK on its behalf. As Yellin-Mor started to move ideologically to the left, Yisrael Eldad left the party with a group of supporters, and the Fighter's List disintegrated. Among the younger members of the list, who were later to become MKs within the framework of the Likud, were Yitzhak Shamir and Geula Cohen.
