State Commission of Inquiry

A “State Commission of Inquiry” is an independent committee charged with conducting quasi-judicial procedure. It has broad powers and has the capacity to conduct broad and comprehensive investigations and make recommendations that are both personal and systemic.

Following the events of October 7th, there has been a widespread public call to establish a State Commission of Inquiry that would address the processes that led to security failures in addition to the unfolding events of the day - in the outposts, bases, settlements, at the Nova music festival, and on the surrounding roads.
