Fake or Not Project for Media Literacy: Knowledge, Tools, and Skills for Educators in Educational and Social Spaces.

| Written By:

The "Fake or Not" initiative emerged after the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, from an understanding of the need to emphasize media literacy in educational and social institutions.

The "Fake or Not" initiative developed following the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, as a flood of disinformation led to an understanding of the urgent need to emphasize media literacy in educational and social institutions.

With the overwhelming flow of information, especially on social media, and the rapid development of AI technologies shaping available content and the resulting perceptions of reality, the project aims to equip individuals—particularly children and youth—with critical thinking and media interpretation skills.

In a world in which polarization, disinformation and misinformation are rampant, educational processes that foster skills in critical, interpretative and analytical thinking are vital to allow today’s youth to cope better with the information circulating throughout the social media networks.

The project was developed through a professional collaboration of various organizations and experts in different fields.
